About Us

If We Wouldn't Live in It, We Won't Build It

Southern Home Builder was founded on a simple belief: building a custom home should be one of the best experiences of your life, not one of the most stressful.

Our Story

A Boutique Builder for Homeowners Who Expect More

Too many people go into a custom build excited and come out exhausted: missed deadlines, unanswered calls, surprise costs and finishes that don't match what was promised. We started Southern Home Builder to change that.

We stay intentionally small. By limiting the number of homes we take on, we can be on site, answer the phone and make sure every detail is right. Our clients work with the same people from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.

The result is a high-end home built with care, on budget and on a schedule you can plan your life around.

What Guides Us

Our Values

Integrity

We tell you the truth about cost, schedule and options, and we stand behind every commitment we make.

Craftsmanship

Square corners, tight joints and lasting materials. We sweat the details most people never see.

Communication

Weekly updates, quick replies and one point of contact. You'll never wonder what's happening on your site.

Partnership

Your home, your vision. We guide and advise, but every major decision is yours to make.

Building Across the South

Homes Designed for Southern Living

We build throughout the South, and we know what this region asks of a home. Long, humid summers. Heavy rain and severe storms. Families who spend as much time on the porch as in the living room.

That's why we focus on what makes a Southern home comfortable and durable for decades: tight, well-insulated building envelopes, moisture management, properly designed heating and cooling, deep covered outdoor spaces and materials chosen to handle the climate.

Every home includes

  • Energy-efficient building envelope
  • Moisture and drainage planning
  • Right-sized, high-efficiency HVAC design
  • Storm-ready roofing and window details
  • Covered outdoor living designed for Southern summers
